” that is, the mystery made known to me by revelation, as I have already said…” Ephesians 3:3Paul, the ancient theologian, is hard to understand. I believe this about his writing and the history of his ministry in the book of Acts.He uses the word mystery a lot in the letters. He must be sure, he has faith, but he is also honest enough to say that he is a fool, and there is yet a lot of mystery in this world. Can we say that mystery is part of the full Gospel message ?
If we are to be in a certain place in the universe at all times in our life, when do we move ? If I have to be walking on the sidewalk at 1:00 pm, and for every tenth of a second I need to take up new space. Down to the smallest time periods, I need to occupy space, so when do I actually move in the micro, micro and micro seconds. ? Are there different laws of nature, when we get down to nanoseconds ?
Maybe a physicist can answer this ? I am trying to understand when God works in the world. I am sure when I know God is not working in some horrible events, but where and when does God intervene ? We have been studying this in a book called ” Why Do we Suffer, and where is God ?
Why did the kingdom not arrive at the Resurrection ? The mystery is that Paul talks about the kingdom arriving, but Jesus must return for a second time. Why didn’t the death and resurrection of Jesus change the universe immediately ? This is a mystery to me. What are the mysteries that you find in your faith ? Faith and mystery go together, I believe.
Shalom and strength for your journey of life and faith.
