local missions

August 27, 2021
Good afternoon.

Food trucks here at Poole from 4-8 tonight.Come out and support the missions of Poole.

Last night there was a meeting of community leaders of the Milverton area. People were there from the churches , service clubs and the food bank. We went around the table and said what we were doing to care of the most vulnerable people in the area. There are many needs in the community. After about an hour, we decided to meet again. I will report on the meeting at our next church council gathering in September.

When did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison and did not help you.”        Matthew 25:44 This quote comes from Jesus’ final parable about sheep and goats, and about taking care of the least of these in this world. We cannot help everybody, but we have the opportunity to help those that we see in our own town or neighbourhood. Cndy Schultz was at the meeting for the food bank. Please tell us about the needs in the community so a larger group can know about it, and we can do more together than just by Poole church. Pray for this group as it continues to meet.

Prayer ( from World Vision )

Please, put your arms around children and families in extreme poverty so they feel comfort and hope; meet their needs both physically and spiritually. And, Lord, guide me so I can be your hands and feet pursuing justice for the poor and upholding the cause of the needy. AMEN
