We need to meet

August 10, 2021
” In my prayers at all times, asking that now at last by God’s will I may succeed in coming to you. For I long to see you so that I may impart to you some spiritual gift to strengthen you. That is, that you and I may be mutually encouraged by each other’s faith     Romans 1:10-12

We have been in pandemic mode since March 2020.
I have not seen some of you since that date. This is a long separation among friends.  We could not have planned for it. I take responsibility for not phoning or meeting with some of you.

” On a scale from 1 to 10, how painful has the pandemic been for you and your family ?” In the hospital they often ask patients how much pain they have right now, from one to ten. In the pandemic I have been at almost three and near an eight., at some time in the 18 months. That is a big curve. And that kind of curve might happen in a day.

As a Chrstian what do you need from the church to re-gather yourself ? What is a positive experience that you have had in the pandemic ? I admit that I miss the Zoom call we did from January through June on Sunday mornings.

We need each other. Paul says it here at the beginning of Romans. We learn from each other while being in the presence of each other. He writes letters to churches to encourage them, and pray with them. He mentions them by name.

I am beginning to venture out to visit people in their homes. If you want me to visit , please give me a call. I will be glad to come, and if you feel more comfortable meeting on the porch or deck.

Grace and peace in our life together.
