And whose inscription?”“Caesar’s,” they replied.Then Jesus said to them, “Give back to Caesar what is Caesar’s and to God what is God’s.”And they were amazed at him. Mark 12:15-16
So, we have to make the decision. We have to decide what we keep for our own lives, and the rest we give to God. But, we do not give it to God! We give it to the church or other organizations that we think can do the work of God together. So, do you believe that the church and its work is the same as God ? When I put my gift in the offering plate, it is for the work of God, and yet it is the church council who decides where the gifts and tithes are given to in this world. And I trust the church to do God’s work.
Jesus’ answer to the money question invites us to think about our faithWe have to think about the Empire ( our country ) and our relationship with God. Since March 2021, the beginning of the pandemic, how has our relationship with Canada and God changed ? Has our minds changed on the role of money and resources that we have ?
Prayer Thank you for leaving questions for us. If you gave us all the answers about everything, We would not have choices, and we love to make our own choices. ” Give to God what is God’s , and to Canada what is Canada’s Hmmmm. AMEN
